Welcome to the website of KatCrew Danes. We are Ron and Mary Lou Katarzynski and we reside in Winfield, IL. We have 5 beautiful daughters; Theresa (15), Kayla (13), Mary Kate (12), Ronni (10), and Laura (8). We currently have three beautiful Great Danes; a fawn male named Chaos and a brindle female named Sophie and a blue female named London. We have a Malti-Poo named Missy and a Persian cat named Flame. Needless to say, we have a house full of action all the time. We have quite a crew in the house and with a name like Katarzysnki everyone tends to shorten it. Hence the name KatCrew!
Let me begin by saying our dogs are our pets, first and foremost. They live in our house and sleep in our beds. We do crate train them, but they are NOT kennel dogs. They attend softball and soccer games and can usually be seen walking with us on the prairie path. They are part of our every day life!
We have learned a lot in our short tenure, but we haven't even scratched the surface. I hope to use this website to share some of our "learnings", and to brag about our dogs and family.
Many of the little things I have learned are on the "Lessons Learned" page on this site. These came strictly from my experiences. I thought I would share them with you to help you save some time or money, or simply look at it through another perspective.
Also you will find some interesting informations on the Kat-Nip pages. I will update this page with interesting articles, feedback I have received or just other interesting information that I collect along the way.
